Our Story
Mini Ivy opened its doors in New York City in 2010 as a teaching and tutoring center. Founded by educators with experience in New York City public schools, Mini Ivy was created to provide students with focused instruction, meaningful academic support, and a welcoming place to learn.
Our Philosophy
We believe students can make meaningful academic progress regardless of their previous classroom or testing performance. Small classes, personalized attention, and clear instruction help students strengthen their skills, build confidence, and work toward their individual goals.
Our Approach
Mini Ivy offers SAT and ACT preparation, SHSAT intensive preparation, Pre-SHSAT ELA and mathematics preparation for students in grades 3–7, statewide ELA and mathematics intensive preparation, and private tutoring. Depending on the program, instruction may be available through group classes or private sessions, either in person or online.
Our teaching goes beyond completing assignments. We help students understand challenging concepts, develop practical study and test-taking strategies, get ahead in school, and become increasingly confident and independent learners.
